We sat down with the new Marketing Manager and he looked at us in the eye and said, “For this magazine I want modernity”. That was our release to create a fresh modern style for Taste Magazine. We knew we had the freedom to create something gorgeous, delicious and desirable. Readers loved it, foodies loved it, top chefs and, of course, wine guru’s adored it.
We photographed the best of food and wine in British Columbia, Canada. Featuring top restaurants and chefs such as, John Bishop, Vikram Vij, Steven Wong and Wayne Martin as well as wine experts such as James Cluer, Tim Pawsey,
Judith Lane and Mirelle Sauve.
The magazine took off immediately and a print run of 50,000 doubled after the first quarter. Taste became an
international award winning magazine.
